Launched on April 12, 1981 as the first Space Shuttle to reach orbit, Columbia was the oldest and heaviest orbiter in NASA's fleet. It flew 27 successful missions over 22 years before breaking apart during re-entry on February 1, 2003, killing all seven crew members aboard. The tragedy led to the eventual retirement of the entire Space Shuttle program.

This free 64-part mini-scale LEGO MOC recreates the orbiter in brick detail as a standalone display build.
