LEGO 40668 Captain America & Red Hulk - Just one unit left!
In This Article
The Red Hulk has never had his own LEGO set but this is the closest he's come and it paired with the MCU's current Captain America, Sam Wilson, in a BrickHeadz double pack tied to one of 2025's biggest Marvel films.
What Is the LEGO BrickHeadz Captain America & Red Hulk?
The LEGO 40668 BrickHeadz Captain America & Red Hulk is a Marvel Super Heroes double pack released on 1 December 2024 as a tie-in to Marvel Studios' Captain America: Brave New World. At 202 pieces and a retail price of $19.99 / €19.99, it builds two BrickHeadz figures: Sam Wilson's Captain America and President Thaddeus Ross as the Red Hulk. Each Brickheadz figure has their own sturdy baseplate, ready to display together or separately.

It retired at the end of 2025 after approximately one year on shelves. Neither character has appeared in any other LEGO BrickHeadz set, and Red Hulk in particular has almost no LEGO representation at all. All factors combined make this this double pack the only dedicated brick-built version of the character available anywhere in the current LEGO catalogue.

What's Inside the Box?
The set builds two separate BrickHeadz figures, each standing over 8 cm / 3″ tall on an individual baseplate. Captain America comes with his iconic round shield as a separate brick-built accessory in his right hand specifically designed to hold at the correct angle. Plus his Sam Wilson-era wing elements built from a pair of rare light bluish-grey flag pieces. The wings fold out from either side of the figure.

The all-red colour Red Hulk doesn't go un-noticed either. When was the last time you saw an angry little red Brickheadz figurine as bulky and menacig as this? Both figures are entirely sticker-free (which is a rare win for LEGO nowadays). All the detailing is done through printed elements (which also adds to the long-term value of the pieces themselves).
All four new printed elements in this set were created specifically for the 40668, which means none of them had appeared in any LEGO set before this release. A rarity!
💡 Did You Know?
This is the first BrickHeadz to feature Sam Wilson as Captain America specifically, rather than Steve Rogers. And Red Hulk? This is essentially his first-ever dedicated LEGO brick-built representation.
The Characters: Sam Wilson and the Red Hulk
Captain America: Brave New World marked the MCU debut of Sam Wilson (played by Anthony Mackie) in the lead Captain America role, following his introduction as Falcon in earlier films and his assumption of the shield at the end of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The film also introduced Harrison Ford to the MCU as President Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, who, in a dramatic turn, transforms into the Red Hulk and becomes the main antagonist of the film's third act.
In fact, Red Hulk is a character with a long history in Marvel comics. General Ross, long-time antagonist of the original Hulk, was transformed into a red-skinned Hulk counterpart in a storyline running from 2008 onwards. His arrival in live-action with Harrison Ford in the role gave him a mainstream audience that the comics version had never quite reached. The LEGO 40668 is the direct product of that moment, which also explains why it retired so fast.
Is It Worth Buying?
BrickHeadz Marvel sets tied to specific film releases tend to follow a predictable secondary market pattern: steady demand from BrickHeadz collectors, spikes whenever the film gets rewatched or the characters appear in new MCU content, and a slow tightening of supply as sealed units get opened or disappear from the market. The 40668 has the added factor of Red Hulk's exclusivity since there is currently no other LEGO product that gives you a brick-built Red Hulk figure. For collectors who track that specifically, this is the only option.
Who Is This For?
The LEGO 40668 BrickHeadz Captain America & Red Hulk is a natural fit for Marvel and MCU fans who want both characters in brick-built form, BrickHeadz collectors completing the Marvel Super Heroes run, fans of Captain America: Brave New World who want a physical memento of the film, parts collectors interested in the rare and exclusive printed elements, and anyone looking for a compact, display-ready Marvel gift. It pairs well with the LEGO BrickHeadz Potted Groot (40671) as part of a wider Marvel BrickHeadz shelf display.
