Launched in Palermo on September 29, 1908, the SS Duca d'Aosta spent the first decade of her career carrying up to 1,836 passengers across the North and South Atlantic for Lloyd Sabaudo before being chartered by the US Navy in May 1918 to transport American troops to Europe.

She completed five transatlantic crossings as part of the Cruiser and Transport Force before returning to civilian service until her scrapping in 1929. This 72-part micro-scale LEGO MOC recreates her at 1:1400 scale.
