Built in Nantes and commissioned in 1927, the Papanikolis was already over a decade old when she carried out six war patrols against Italian forces in the Adriatic during the Greco-Italian War, sinking the troop carrier Firenze and surviving relentless depth charge attacks before fleeing to the Middle East following the German invasion of Greece in 1941.

Operating under Allied command from exile, she completed nine further patrols across the Eastern Mediterranean, landing commando teams on occupied Greek coastlines and sinking enemy shipping until her decommissioning in 1945.

This 153-part LEGO MOC closes the BOBBY BRIX SubMayRine 2025 mini-series at 1:260 scale with display stand included, matching the U-995, M-200, and USS Bowfin.
