The most produced Western fighter jet since the F-86 Sabre and the backbone of air forces across 29 countries. The F-16 Fighting Falcon was conceived after Vietnam War lessons showed that heavy, complex fighters were being outmanoeuvred by lighter Soviet designs.

First flown in 1974 and entering service in 1979, over 4,600 have been built across nearly five decades of continuous production, serving in every major US military conflict from Desert Storm to Ukraine, where F-16s began intercepting Russian cruise missiles in 2024.

Known to its pilots as the Viper, it remains in production today with the Block 70/72 variant delivering to new customers including Slovakia and Bulgaria.

This free 141-part mini-scale LEGO MOC recreates it in dark grey and light grey camouflage without landing gear at the same display scale as the BOBBY BRIX F-14, F-15, and F-22 MOCs.
