Originally built for the Royal Navy as the Upholder class and decommissioned by Britain in 1994 after a post-Cold War decision to operate only nuclear submarines, the four Victoria-class boats were purchased by Canada in 1998 for $427 million USD and delivered between 2000 and 2004, giving the Royal Canadian Navy its only submarines and its only means of covert underwater surveillance.
At 70.3 metres long and displacing 2,455 tonnes submerged, they are diesel-electric hunter-killers capable of over 20 knots submerged, used today for anti-submarine warfare, drug interdiction, and international deployments including the Indo-Pacific.
This free 31-part micro-scale LEGO MOC rebuilds this model in a small compact micro-scaled build. Easy to replicate for displays and dioramas.
