The oldest surviving destroyer in the world and the only Polish Navy ship ever awarded the Virtuti Militari (Poland's highest military honour). The ORP Błyskawica (meaning Lightning) was built at J. Samuel White in Cowes in 1936 and escaped the Baltic just two days before Germany invaded Poland. She fought from Norway to Dunkirk, defended the Isle of Wight town of Cowes from 160 Luftwaffe bombers in May 1942, covered the Normandy landings, and logged 138,356 nautical miles across six years of war before returning to Poland in 1947. She is now preserved as a museum ship in Gdynia.

This free 96-part mini-scale LEGO MOC recreates her in the blue, black, and white war camouflage scheme at the same scale as the BOBBY BRIX 2018 warship collection.
