The last battleship ever to fire her guns in combat, the USS Wisconsin delivered her final rounds during Operation Desert Storm in January 1991, nearly half a century after she was commissioned in 1944 and fought through the Philippines, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa in World War II.
One of four Iowa-class sisters and armed with the same nine 16-inch guns capable of hurling a 2,700-pound shell over 20 miles, Wisconsin earned six battle stars across three conflicts before her final decommissioning in September 1991 and is now preserved as a museum ship at Nauticus in Norfolk, Virginia.
This LEGO MOC recreates her at 1:1000 scale.
(Part 85975 might be too expensive to acquire on certain marketplaces and can be replaced with a regular 33492 in light bluish grey instead.)
