Commissioned in April 1941 just months before Pearl Harbor, the USS North Carolina was the first modern fast battleship to join the US Pacific Fleet and the most decorated American battleship of World War II, earning 15 battle stars while providing anti-aircraft cover for carrier task forces and delivering shore bombardments from Guadalcanal to the Japanese home islands. So feared by the Japanese that they falsely claimed to have sunk her twice, she is now preserved as a museum ship in Wilmington, North Carolina.
This LEGO MOC recreates her at 1:1000 scale.
