Build a LEGO 1:1000 scaled recreation of the iconic USS North Carolina Battleship that served during World War II!

HISTORY

USS North Carolina (BB-55) was the lead ship of the North Carolina-class battleships, commissioned into the United States Navy in April 1941. Measuring 222 meters in length with a displacement of around 44,800 tons fully loaded, she was armed with nine 16-inch guns and a powerful array of secondary and anti-aircraft weapons. Designed under treaty limits but with advanced protection and speed, she quickly proved her value as one of the Navy’s first modern fast battleships.

During World War II, North Carolina served extensively in the Pacific Theater, providing anti-aircraft cover for carrier task forces and delivering heavy bombardments during amphibious operations. She earned 15 battle stars for her service, a record among U.S. battleships of her time. After being decommissioned in 1947, she was preserved as a museum ship in Wilmington, North Carolina, where she remains a major historical attraction.
