Build a LEGO 1:1000 scaled recreation of the iconic USS Missouri Battleship that served during World War II! 

HISTORY

USS Missouri (BB-63) was the last battleship commissioned by the United States Navy and the fourth of the Iowa-class fast battleships. Launched in January 1944, she measured 270 meters in length, displaced over 58,000 tons fully loaded, and carried a main battery of nine 16-inch guns. Missouri joined the Pacific Fleet during World War II, where she supported carrier strikes, bombarded Japanese positions, and took part in the battles of Iwo Jima and Okinawa.

On September 2, 1945, aboard the deck of Missouri in Tokyo Bay, Japan formally surrendered to the Allied powers, marking the end of World War II. After the war, Missouri served again during the Korean War and was later modernized in the 1980s with Tomahawk and Harpoon missiles as part of the U.S. Navy’s 600-ship plan. She was decommissioned in 1992 and is now preserved as a museum ship at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
