The Norwegian collier that accidentally caused Canada's worst peacetime maritime disaster. The SS Storstad struck the RMS Empress of Ireland in thick fog on the St. Lawrence River on May 29, 1914, sinking her in 14 minutes and killing 1,012 people.

Launched in 1910 and returned to coal service after the collision inquiry, she met her own end in 1917 when a German U-boat sank her during World War I.

This free 29-part micro-scale LEGO MOC recreates her at 1:1400 scale and pairs directly with the BOBBY BRIX Empress of Ireland MOC.
