Nicknamed "The Bone" from its B-1 designation, the Rockwell B-1B Lancer entered service in 1986 as a supersonic variable-sweep wing bomber designed to fly at low altitude beneath Soviet radar and deliver nuclear payloads deep into enemy territory.

With the Cold War over, its nuclear mission was retired in 1994 and it was rebuilt into a conventional strike platform capable of carrying 75,000 pounds of ordnance, the largest payload in the USAF inventory. It has since seen combat over Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, and beyond.

This free 45-part micro-scale LEGO MOC recreates its sleek swept-wing silhouette for day seven of the BOBBY BRIX Micro March 2026 series.
