The deadliest maritime disaster in history, the MV Wilhelm Gustloff was a 684-foot German ocean liner launched in 1937 as a cruise ship for the Nazi "Kraft durch Freude" program before being requisitioned as a hospital ship and later a troop barracks.

On January 30, 1945, packed with over 10,000 refugees, wounded soldiers, and civilians fleeing the advancing Soviet forces as part of Operation Hannibal, she was struck by three torpedoes from Soviet submarine S-13 in the icy Baltic Sea and sank in under an hour, killing an estimated 9,000 people, roughly half of them children.

This 119-part LEGO MOC reproduces her at 1:1400 scale with a display stand included.
