Named after General George S. Patton and introduced in 1952 as America's first true post-war main battle tank, the M48 Patton served as the backbone of US armoured forces through the Cold War. It saw combat in Vietnam providing fire support for infantry, and was exported to allies who fought with it through the Six-Day War, the Yom Kippur War, and the Indo-Pakistani conflicts.

Nearly 12,000 were produced before 1961 and many remain in service around the world today. One of the early BOBBY BRIX tank designs, this free 61-part micro-scale LEGO MOC recreates it with a simple track design and rotating turret.
