One of the most distinctive battleships ever built, HMS Nelson was the product of a design team forced to fit nine 16-inch guns, heavy armour, and a full displacement into a 35,000-ton Washington Treaty limit, resulting in an unmistakable silhouette with all three turrets stacked forward of the superstructure, a configuration unique in Royal Navy history.

Commissioned in 1927, she spent World War II accumulating battle honours from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean, surviving a mine, a torpedo, and another mine while covering the Malta convoys, Operation Torch, Sicily, Italy, and the Normandy landings before being scrapped in 1949.

This LEGO MOC recreates her at 1:1000 scale with rotating and individually poseable turrets, a hidden interior behind the hull, and a display stand.
