The largest warship in the world for over twenty years and the most famous ship in the Royal Navy. HMS Hood was launched in 1918 and spent the interwar decades touring the globe as a floating symbol of British imperial power before being sent to intercept the Bismarck in May 1941. 

At 05:52 on May 24, during the Battle of the Denmark Strait, a salvo from Bismarck penetrated her relatively thin deck armour and detonated her aft magazine, tearing the ship apart in seconds and killing 1,415 of her 1,418 crew. Only three men survived. Her loss shocked Britain and triggered the relentless naval pursuit that sank the Bismarck three days later.

This LEGO MOC recreates her at 1:1000 scale with a micro-scaled interior, detailed features from bow to stern, and a display stand.
