The sole surviving TR-1700 class submarine and the last remaining submarine in the Argentine Navy, the ARA Santa Cruz was built by Thyssen Nordseewerke in Germany. She was built alongside her sister ship San Juan and commissioned in 1984, making her among the largest and fastest diesel-electric submarines built in Germany since World War II. 

With her planned mid-life refit cancelled as of 2020, she has been laid up in dry dock, leaving Argentina effectively without an operational submarine force after the loss of San Juan in 2017.

This 195-part LEGO MOC is the second BOBBY BRIX SubMayRine 2026 model at 1:260 scale, a tribute to the last boat of her class.
