The Airbus A400M Atlas made its first flight in Seville in December 2009 and entered operational service with the French Air Force in 2013 after a development program spanning three decades. The aircraft was designed to fill the gap between tactical and strategic airlifters and replace the ageing C-130 and C-160 fleets across Europe.

Capable of carrying 37 tonnes of cargo including infantry fighting vehicles and medium helicopters, operating from unpaved runways, and doubling as an aerial refueling tanker, it is one of the most versatile military transport aircraft flying today, currently serving with ten nations.

This free 58-part micro-scale LEGO MOC rebuilds the broad wingspan, high-wing layout, T-tail silhouette, and four turboprop engines of the aircraft in a compact display model.
