MOC Kit vs Building Instructions: Which Is Right for You?

The Bobby Brix Channel provides both MOC Kits and Building Instructions, so what's the difference? Please read the following to have a better understanding of the terms used on this website to describe all digital and physical products.

The term MOC stand for (My Own Creation).

MOC Kits

MOC Kits are a simple way of buying all the pieces you need to build a model designed by The Bobby Brix Channel. You no longer need to import the parts list on various LEGO brick marketplaces and pay for expensive shipping and delivery fees. MOC Kits contain only the bricks you need to build the final design. Buying a MOC Kit also pays for the premium building instructions which you will be able to download upon purchase.

You can print the instructions if needed.

The MOC Kits provided by The Bobby Brix Channel contain new parts manufactured by Gobricks via our partnership with Wobrick (with warehouses and factories located in China).

For the time being, MOC Kits are limited to only using Gobricks. The LEGO Pick-and-Build service has a variable and limited stock of individual molds or colors depending on their supply and demand. For example: I was able to purchase all 160 parts to build the LEGO SS Edmund Fitzgerald MOC in January 2025. As of May 2025, 13 parts are no longer sold on the LEGO Pick-and-Build due to demand and/or supply limitations of the dark red SNOT bricks.

For commercial purposes, resale or wholesale, please contact The Bobby Brix Channel.

LEGO MOC Instructions

The Bobby Brix Channel has a catalog containing over 350 custom made designs of LEGO models known as MOCs (My Own Creations). Building instructions for most of these designs are available to download for free on Rebrickable.

However, some designs are sold as Premium MOCs. You can find premium building instructions on Etsy and Rebrickable, but they are cheaper on The Bobby Brix Store.

LEGO MOC Instructions are sold as PDF booklets and also come with a CSV parts list and an XML file which will help you buy the necessary parts to build the design through the LEGO Pick-and-Build platform, the Bricklink Marketplace, BrickOwl, Webrick, Wobrick or any other major building brick provider.

LEGO MOC Instructions are sold as digital products only and are non refundable due to their nature.

What about LEGO MOC Sets?

Custom LEGO Sets of MOCs designed by The Bobby Brix Channel are coming soon.
Due to cost and packaging, this is all still in the works.

You can take a look at our partnership with MOCBoxing which can ship out a LEGO MOC Kit with LEGO pieces to you. Building instructions are provided in digital form via Rebrickable.
